Written in the Stars: Brandy Honoured with Hollywood Walk of Fame Star
A star for the "Vocal Bible" as Brandy takes her rightful place on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Yesterday, March 30, 2026, the Hollywood Walk of Fame welcomed its 2,839th star, and with it, one of music and screen’s most luminous voices finally received her rightful place in history.
At 11:30 a.m. PT, in front of Arrive Hollywood on 6201 Hollywood Boulevard, Brandy Rayana Norwood, aka the Vocal Bible, the Princess of R&B, the eternal Moesha and Cinderella, stood radiant as her star was unveiled. The Recording category honours more than a milestone; it immortalises a career that redefined soul, grace, and generational influence.
From her 1994 self-titled debut that introduced a velvet voice and quiet power, to the record-shattering duet “The Boy Is Mine,” through her groundbreaking role in Moesha, the beloved 1997 Cinderella, and a catalogue of hits that still echo in hearts worldwide, Brandy has never just sung: she has felt for us. Grammy-winning, multi-platinum, and culturally transcendent, she turned vulnerability into strength and melody into movement.
The ceremony pulsed with love. Emmy-winning host Sibley Scoles guided the moment, while heartfelt tributes flowed from actress-writer Issa Rae, Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Kehlani, and music legend Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. Family and friends, including daughter Sy’rai, veteran actress Jennifer Lewis, and long-time collaborator Monica, gathered as Brandy delivered a speech of gratitude, reflection, and quiet triumph.
This star is not just cement and brass. It is proof that authenticity endures, that Black girl magic can rewrite the narrative, and that true talent eventually outshines every delay.
